How I became a feminist and then anti-feminist

I am an Arab from Lebanon, and we the Lebanese are lacking our basic human rights like electricity blackouts, water shortage, high unemployment, a garbage crisis, inflation, nepotism and corruption, a Syrian refugee crisis, and Hezbollah are stronger than our Armed Forces.
By 2012 I left Islam to become an atheist, because Islam is at first very unscientific and unethical and contradicts itself, so I started becoming supportive to women’s rights, LGBT issues, the secularization of Lebanon, freedom of expression, egalitarianism, free market capitalism or in other words a classical liberal.
By 2014 to mid-2015 I became more interested in video games, I heard about the gamer-gate controversy and Anita Sarkeesian’s scandal, I knew that her claim is bullshit and so are her arguments, but I continued playing games and not following up with this trend.
By 17 July 2015, the Naameh landfill was closed, and the garbage crisis began with rotting trash everywhere smelling like a corpse and increased black outs hindering me from my gaming hobby. After a few days a grass root civil uprising that grew significantly, I have joined the movement that organized the uprising called #YouStink most of them are classical liberals. The main reason I joined was for myself to play video games without any interrupting black outs.
But then I met some chick who is a communist radical feminist and during our conversation I criticized my movement for not defending themselves from Amal & Hezbollah thugs by saying that they are being “pussies” and she got extremely triggered replying “THAT’S SEXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” and she told me that the Lebanese National anthem is sexist because one of it’s lines is “A nation for the men”, I asked her about the female leaders of #YouStink and she said that their speeches are written by a man, and all the women in the #YouStink movement are fake feminists and are suffering from internalized misogyny, and far left radical feminists hate us #YouStink activists because we support capitalism or hybrid economies.
Then the movement had started being plagued by the politically correct fascists, we had a slogan chanted “ Ya dawle lao fiki rjel, jibi l Askar min ersel” which means “Oh you state , if u are manly , rescue the soldiers from Ersel” which is telling the government to stop the police brutality and rescue our troops captured by Daesh & Al Qaeda, the sjws banned this slogan from being chanted because it is misogynistic. But I was a communist at that time.
Last year , on women’s day rad-feminists organized a march and at first made it was supposed to be a woman only march, then they declared to allow men to join in but can only be in the back and not chant.
By Fall 2016 I had to take a gender studies course, so they first taught us that gender is a social construct I believed it , because I trust academic personnel. And became kind of an SJW, but I had my doubts , I worked for HELEM the LGBTQ community of Lebanon, and I mentioned the word “hermaphrodite” and told me to never use this word because I am a cishet male. I refrained from using the term and used intersex instead. I told my professors that the gender wage gap is a myth and explained how using Christina Hoff Sommers's arguements, the girls were triggered. One time our English professor made us read an article about Glass Ceilings, and how women should work harder than their male competitors to become politicians and Hillary lost because she is a female, during our discussion of the article I commented that Hillary did not lose because she is a female, she lost because she offered no palpable change and is a war criminal, the female students looked at me like I am red herring and accused me of using non-sequitur arguments.
Eventhough I was an SJW, I wasn’t very concerned about identity politics, I was busy with the economic social justice (A communist). I still loved video games I did not consider them sexist, or homophobic, or racist, applies to porn, ads, language.
By December 2016, the Intersectional Feminist club at the Lebanese American University was recruiting pupils to their club, they had Q & A with the President of the club, and she told me that I can only be an ally , not allowed to have an opinion , and must speak last because I need to check “ my Lebanese straight cis male privilege” (Lebanese people are like the whites of Lebanon, Palestinians are like the native Americans of Lebanon , Migrant workers are like the Mexicans of Lebanon, Syrians are like the blacks of Lebannon), I aksed her how is the Syrian Civil War a feminist issue she responded in triggered way " women have it harder during armed conflicts" I objected " 97% of casualties are male, and they are drafted including little boys" she responded " YOU'R SUCH A MENINIST , STOP MANSPLAINING , YOU BROGRESSIVE MANARCHIST REACTIONARY MRA MISOGYNIST PIG" Here I got fed up with their bullshit and started dissociating myself from cultural Marxists because of their Authoritarian fascism, and racism and sexism and heterophobia. I started watching The Amazing Atheist’s videos criticizing religion in 2012, but lost interest in his videos, but I started watching them again in 2016, I then watched his videos criticizing feminist ideology.
And what also pissed me off when I wrote a post on reddit on subreddit r/ socialism (This is not complaining about being banned from this subreddit it was the straw that broke the camel’s back) about men’s issues in the west called the feminists not true feminist because they mock men’s issues and should be called “feminazis”, the mods of r/ socialism immediately banned me and accuesed me of being a neo-reactionary neo-Nazi,some called a brocialist. I still preferred Trump over Hillary I was happy that he won, and If I were an American I would have voted for Trump even during my communist phase. The mods accused me of being a Trump supporter, I subscribed to their subreddit and they are open to civil discussions, gave me a warm welcome and we had a lot in common.
I started watching other anti-feminist youtubers like prince of queens, Jaclyn Glenn, Blair White, Tree of Logic, Naked Ape, Julie Borowski, Milo Yinnopoulus MrRepzion , thunderf00t,Hunter Avallone, Cerera Mcord, Alex Jones, Lauren Southern, Christina Sommers, Karen Straughn, Press for Truth, Rebel Media, Info Wars and Paul Joseph Watson, Sargon of Akkad and many others.
I quit communism seeing how it is a failed system, after watching a debate between Peter Schiff and occupy socialist protesters.
So this is how I became an anti-sjw anti-communist classical liberal supporting individualism and free market capitalism.
I forgot to mention that It makes me feel sad that SJWs have ruined the Reason Rally ( A rally for secualrists and atheists) which was really about individuality , skepticism , rationalism,When the Reason Rally was about reason, and anti dogma And don't get started on rational wiki, they should be called irrational wiki.
SJWs usually come from an upper middle class background so they are spoiled brats, most of them attend high end universities, they want to create safe spaces, thankfully universities in Lebanon have campus protests banned.
Most of the SJWs are fat and ugly, some used to be pretty but wear piercings like nose rings making them look disgusting, some had something personal happen to them I know one of them who is a child molestation survivor, and hates men now.
They focus on identity politics, language policing, media policing, affirmative action, instead of focusing on the laws that harm women like not being allowed to grant her citizenship to her husband and children, or marital rape not being recognized.

    Thanks for this post Ibn.Al.Muqafaa.

Its a very interesting insight into feminism and its influences outside the western world. Many people on this side of the planet are not aware of the influence that this ideology has in the middle-east, Asia and Africa. Often you hear people here saying "why don't feminists take their activism to the middle-east where it is needed" or "why aren't there any feminists in the middle-east", in a way trying to shift the problem to another part of the world where they have been told that women are victimised. The thing is women in the middle-east, Asia and Africa are as privileged as compared to men as women are to men here in the west and feminism has been very influential and damaging across the globe. The problem is that our only source for our information about the middle-east, Asia and Africa here in the west are our media outlets who are heavily controlled by feminists on all levels. So our only source for information about gender issues in other parts of the world are feminists and they lie and distort and manipulate issues about women in other parts of the world the same way they lie, distort and manipulate gender issues here. This is why many people in the west falsely believe that women are victimised in other parts of the word. This is why I become excited by people such as yourself. People who live in the middle-east and speak English and so are able to provide the outside world with the real picture of what is going on in the world of gender politics outside the west.

Feminism has been waging a huge war against men outside the west since the early 1900s...The same destructive, lunatics who pioneered feminism in the west took it to the rest of the world where it has been wreaking as much havoc as it is here. Lebanon and Egypt are amongst the most feminised countries in the world. Iraq is slowly becoming feminised. They have gender quotas in the public and private sectors and like here in the UK a ministerial role for women's equality in parliament with no male role equivalent just to name a couple of things. Afghanistan is becoming feminised. Iran has a feminist history that goes back to the early 1900s... I believe that the feminist pioneer and male rejectionist/psycho/raging lesbian/sexist Shulamith Firestone spent a part of here life campaigning for sexism in Iran.

We need more men and women like you in the middle-east Ibn, desperately.

I love it when feminists become popular. They expose the stupidity and hate that is feminism, which usually operates in the shadows, to the outside world turning people against them. The majority of anti-feminists and men's rights activists become anti-feminists and men's rights activists after being exposed to this incredibly flawed, ludicrous ideology.

The hypocrisy, idiocy and sexism of feminism has no bounds. Imagine what would happen to men in a country ruled by people like this. They would become marginalised and disadvantaged in every aspect of life and this is exactly what has happened to any and all countries where feminism has become institutionalised.

The more you inform yourself about feminism the more you realise that it is entirely based on lies, distortion, manipulation, hate and authoritarianism. These are all traits of a morally bankrupt, baseless ideology driven by ulterior motives and one that has no case for its cause. The ulterior motives being power and control.

A ‘brocialist’….the sexism implicit in this term says a lot more about them than it does about you.

The main reason why feminism gets away with so much is that the vast majority of people do not know anything about this ideology besides its exoteric generalities ‘equality’, ‘choice’ etc. but,

“Evil will very rarely expose itself to public light. It must hide. And it almost always hides under the guise of something righteous.” Dr Scott Peck, American psychiatrist.

People do not know that feminism is the furthest thing from equality and choice. Its a fundamentally flawed and evil ideology that hides under the guise of "equality". To come to this realisation about feminism you need to know the theory on which feminism is based, which most all people are clueless about.

"There are many (people) who earnestly support what they believe to be “feminism” without having any knowledge of the aetiology and teleology of the movement’s fundamental ideology. Normal (people) instinctively recoil from feminism when they are told what it really means, and what feminists really believe. Feminism is inherently radical, based on a revolutionary interpretation of human behavior, and must either be accepted or rejected as such. Feminists know this, and they understand that their success depends on a hypocritical duality between their movement’s esoteric doctrine (feminism’s radical theory) and its exoteric discourse (the language feminists speak to the general public)." Robert Stacey Mccain. Sex Trouble: Essays on Radical Feminism and its War Against Human Nature.

If people become exposed to the esoteric doctrine of feminism i.e. the fundamental theory on which it is based they will most certainly come to the realisation that it is evil and revolt against it. A revolt against feminism is especially easy to create in the middle-east where people are extremely religious and traditional. If you expose feminism to such people for what it really is, a marxist, anti-religion, anti-family, anti-heterosexuality, anti-male, anti-gender, anti-children, pro-promiscuity, pro-perversions, sexist ideology people will revolt against it.

The best way to defeat feminism is to expose the truth about it. Ibn, I suggest you read "Their Angry Creed" by Herbert Purdy if you haven't already. Its a really good anti-feminist book.

I second his recommendation. "Their Angry Creed" is a very good book.

this is the victim culture. portray yourself as a victim and then use this the control others.

i am an expert on this i was married to a victim for 23 years. i survived and moved on and realised what happened. it is subtle at first. no one is responsible for their destiny but themselves.

Yes Lebanon & Egypt are the most feminized countries in the Arab world, I would call them as gynocentric patriarchies.
In these two countries women have less responsibilities than men do.
In Lebanon, women are sexually liberated even in Quran belts.
When I was a young boy, teachers taught us "a boy who hits a girl" , during 9th grade an 8th grade girl was bullying me, I got so fed up punched her in the face, and stepped on her knees, I was immediately sent to the principals office, he called my parents, but my parents were supportive that I defended myself.
Gay men , are more bullied and ostracized , and can be killed in Islamic countries than lesbians.
Boys experience more bullying than girls in schools.
Boys are beaten up more by parents, teachers, principals than girls in the Arab world.
Most victims of terrorist attacks are male, and terrorists usually go easy on their female victims.

The civil uprising lost momentum, because of the sjws, and disagreements the movement is currently in a civil war.
During the civil uprising, Hezbollah & Amal thugs tried to hijack the movement by instigating violence with the police, this made the Lebanese Armed Forces, declare martial law for a few hours.
We passed through hardships only to have feminists ruin the movement with their politically correct authoritarianism.
The good thing about Lebanese sjws is that they are not sympathetic to Hezbollah.

A lot of Lebanese people think that feminism is equality between men & women, and a lot of the Lebanese don't know it's true motives and agendas.
There is a cute girl who is a in the civil uprising and I have the hots for, says she is a feminist, but she doesn't know much about the ideology, nor theory, nor the motives and agenda, never took a gender studies class, nor read anything about feminist theory she is like the coffee shop feminists, but if she sees the truth about feminism , I don't she will be sympathetic to it. ( Plus she is too pretty to be a feminist).

The good thing about sjws is that they turn on against each other, for saying something politically incorrect or opposing ideas.

Women are privileged in every aspect of life, across the globe from the East to the West, as compared to men. We need more men like you Ibn to expose the truth about male disadvantage and female privilege in the middle-east, a part of the world where men suffer greatly and in silence. Their suffering made worse by feminism.
