  • BBC abandons all attempts at balance; I offer $100 reward

A new article with the headline "How many men are paedophiles" has just been posted on the BBC website. It marks a new low in the BBC's increasingly misandrist culture.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-28526106

The article ignores any serious possibility that women commit a comparable level of sexual abuse to men, repeatedly conflating the number of people who commit sexual abuse with the number of men. As evidence for its bias it cites a single source; another BBC story in which, amongst other things, charity founders cite the damage done by media stories that ignore female sexual abusers.

The sharp eyed of you will note other features on the BBC's website today:
An article about Turkish women protesting at a government ministers remarks about women laughing in public. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-28548179
There are also 3 other stories about male sexual abusers:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-28564695
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-28558442
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-28560122

    Whilst over on the BBC iPlayer, there is a sympathetic interview with Tulisa Contostavlos, the drug-taking, porno-starring pop star who is complaining that the last year of her life has been difficult, what with being convicted of assault and tried for drug-dealing;

I will donate $100 to AVfM if anyone can find me a hyperlink of a story published today, 30/07/2014 on the BBC website that makes ANY negative generalisation about women as a whole. Sports pieces INCLUDED

No Dice, the BBC is only slightly less openly Misandrist than the MuffingtonPost and always has been.
they aren't abandoning all attempts at balance so much as there have never been any to begin with.

How about this shit eating little snippet they've put on there, too?

Is that their idea of subtlety?

Come on guys. It's 22:40 over here in the UK. If you can't find anything in the next 80 minutes, $100 goes begging ...

The "journalist" in question is Wesley Stephenson. Shit eating asshole. I wonder how many articles he'll be publishing about paternity fraud - most conservative estimate of which is 2%.

To be fair they did also publish this. I guess the concept of females pedophiles was so shocking, they spelt the word wrong IN THE FUCKING TITLE!!!!!

It does cover the very dark side of female pedophiles and hebophiles. The fact society is more accepting of what these women do, blaming it men. The comments section is worth a read too.

Edit - I have always spelt pedophile (US), Paedophile is actual the British spelling. Need to go back to skool!!!

Paedophile is the correct way to spell it. Pedophiles are people who are attracted to soil....

Yes, this was the "source" referred to in the original article. It says:

"Some believe that society's different attitude to women offenders is reflected in the language of the media reporting it. They point out that teachers "seduce" pupils if they are female but "sexually assault" if male."

The original article from yesterday itself refused to acknowledge the problem of female child abusers. Then it cited a source that talks about the damage this wilful ignorance does. Ironic or what?

However, the "source" article wasn't published on 31/07. My offer still stands though, $100 to AVfM if anyone can find any article on the BBC website published yesterday that makes any similar negative generalisation about women.

Come on you kitten-eating bastards. :-)

Fixed the spelling of his name ... even if he spells it "Wesley" himself.
