    http://news.yahoo.com/panetta-opens-combat-roles-women-201403079--politics.html

an important milestone but how many men will die for womens equality?
and how long before women who have been voting should be denied for not signing up for the draft?
should gov grants for uni be pulled as well?
doesnt all this fall under the us laws for signing up?
oh i cant wait for this shit to hit the fan!

Rog, I was just reading over at the http://blackagendareport.com/ how the imperial expansion of war by many nations is sickening, they are freaking out over there about what is happening in mali, the middle east, africa, everywhere really, how people are being fooled to rally behind leaders who PROMISE peace like Dr. King, but are a wolf in sheeps clothing and leaving a wake of useless death and destruction in thier path.

RE: women will now be allowed in combat

Ack you beat me to it! lol

If you want to know more about how it will be, just read up on Israel but its really hard to filter through the mainstream female supremacist glorification propaganda. They've had women technically in combat for about 14 years and even before that during the creation of Israel but it was overturned for a long time. When it came back, there were a number of loopholes that women use to waive the mandatory conscription. Most women use religion as a way to avoid service. Those that do get deployed only see combat by accident. They are technically 'allowed' to be in combat but they certainly are not sent out in the front lines. Women also get shorter mandatory service lengths than men. Really this only serves as a way to diminish men's sacrifices and suffering in war. Just look up articles of Israel's female soldiers and see how they are portrayed and who is getting credit for their military force.

I once saw a documentary about Israeli female soldiers. When they see combat, it is certainly not intended, and when it happens its seen as a tragedy. Their PTSD and suffering is held far above Men's.

Its funny too how Heirarchy is seen as Patriarchal by Feminists but at the same time they are saying its good for women to be a part of such a heirarchial system when its the Military. Suddenly their notions of men being brutish warmongers goes out the window and they desperately seek to take the warrior's glory...uhh...hmmm... I thought Women could not be violent? Hmm...

Oh well what do I care? My official stance is to boycott the military for that is exactly where they want all men to go thats why they put so much pressure on us in Civilian life, to squeeze us out, marginalize us then recruit us and kill us. If you dont die in battle, you will surely be driven to suicide afterwards.

RE: women will now be allowed in combat

if you forced women to choose between their vote and possibly being forced to serve in front line combat there will be an uproar and if they change the law then man it will get ugly
think of the money saved if they could pull all the benefits women received but are no longer eligible for by not signing up for the draft?

News: Panetta plans on announcing policy change

Reality: women won't have a chance to enter any of those positions for a while.

            http://security.blogs.cnn.com/2013/01/23/military-to-open-combat-jobs-to-women/?hpt=hp_inthenews

The US military will be conducting assessments of the positions effected by this policy change in the immediate future, to see if they can be made available to women, with a goal for a completion of assessments in 2016. Secondly, all branches will be able to go to the secretary and file for certain units and jobs to be exempt from the new policy. (perhaps because the training requirements for the position cannot be lowered) Third, once a position is ready to be changed to "open" instead of "closed," the Pentagon must notify Congress and wait for congress to be in session for 30 more days before implementation. This gives congress plenty of time to intervene. A number of facilities will also need to be gender integrated, and issues of public bathrooms, barracks, and the like will need to be settled. It'll probably be 2020 before we know how this policy actually pans out.

Personally though, I'm all for letting women into whatever combat positions they can qualify for and deploying those women on to the front lines. As equal members of society, women should shoulder the burden of death that men have long suffered under.
