Completely ridiculous. The world would be a lot better off and a lot more relaxed if people would just get naked and be done with it. For those unaware, this Saturday is the World Naked Bike Ride in the northern hemisphere. I'll be in the one in Victoria, BC, assuming that it happens here at the proper time this year, starting at 3pm from the BC Parliament Buildings. YES, this is a family friendly event. NO, it is not a place to masturbate or cruise for sex, so everybody get those thoughts out of your head if they're in there at all. Anyone's welcome to take part so long as they're legal age, because people WILL be taking photographs and uploading them to the internet so we want to avoid any possibility of so called "kiddy porn". It's also going to be "bare as you dare", so you can dress or undress as much as you feel comfortable with. Check out the list of known rides here.
When a woman says to a man 'IF you really love me you would (INSERT VERB HERE)... 'IF you really love me you should buy/give/take/do X, Y, Z'... That's using...that's testing. And my answer to that is always; 'IF you loved me you wouldn't have asked that fucking question, now pack your shit and get the fuck out of my house.' - Maxx

Asking a feminist about men's rights is like asking a cattle rancher about veganism.

Meh, who cares if women go topless? Take it all off for all I care. Judging by 95% of them, I could use a laugh.

Actually, that might be the best possible reaction. Unless of course you've come for the boobs.

Gosh, I would expect a terminal case of the dumass on HuffPo or in the NYT, but not so much on AVFM. You guys need to reach up, turn on the brain switch and think about this issue again.

You might Google for a legal definition of assault. As best as I can tell, touching any part of another person without their permission is called assault. There are penalties, but they are minor unless something is tacked on, such as extreme injury (or sexual assault).

Years ago, probably when ever the government decided only they could protect women, and not leave it to her father; uncles; and brothers, women demanded that parts of their bodies be granted special protections, Things like breasts and such stuff. And, be punished as a special sexual offense, instead of a simple assault issue.

Women agreed at that time that in exchange for this protection women must cover up those body parts which received protection beyond what men got for the same body parts. "Cover it up, b***h!"

Now, they still want those special protections that men don't have, but they also want to run around with those parts exposed to the whole world.

So, don't ever talk to me about equality involved with women going topless.

If a woman (or whatever you call American females these days) whines it isn't fay-er that men can go without shirts but women can't, ask them if they are willing to cancel all laws which make touching those parts on women, but not men, an offense for the registered sex offenders list.

People say breasts are not sexual organs, but human females are the only mammals with permanent breasts, most animals grow udder when they are feeding children and loose it when not. Human women grow breasts way earlier and keep them their whole life, though they are non functional before they get pregnant for the first time.

People say breasts are for feeding babies but they only serve that purpose when they are actually feeding babies, and they are not even designed to be effective in that (the nipple should be at the bottom of the breast, since liquid always flows downwards) but they are designed to be symmetrical which to humans is appealing trait, also don´t buy the lie that some cultures prefer flat chested, all men across all cultures overwhelmingly prefer big breasts.

Breasts in humans are designed as sexual trait, period, women often engage in mental gymnastics in order to explain away their behavior (such as wearing revealing clothing or push up bras) because god forbid they did anything to be appealing to men, but all those explanations fall apart under even the most cursory scrutiny, and so does the notion that breasts are not sexual in nature.
I sexually identify as a sword pommel, check your privilege or i will have to end you RIGHTLY.

I overall agree with what you are saying, Anonymous. However, I am 75. Starting at my birth, I was exposed to women breast-feeding, and this continued until my youngest sibling was weaned, well into the 50's. To this day, if I see a woman nursing a baby with her breast exposed, it does not appeal to me as a sexual thing, as long as the baby is there. Without the baby there, it does. I reported this to Dalrock when he was huffing and puffing because the feminists said if men got used to women's breasts, they would not find them sexual. He banned me. Dalrock is by far the best men's bloger, but when he screws up he screws up big time.

I live in rural Mexico, and most women nurse their babies. Some will keep everything hidden, others will bring out the breast, then when the baby latches on, cover it up again. Others simply take out the breast and feed the baby with no attempt to hide anything.

I have been watching the men in those cases for nearly 20 years, and they not respond to those nursing breasts as 'titties' as they would a non-nursing breast.

it is easy for men who were not exposed to nursing women as kids themselves, to pontificate differently from the experiences of men who did.

It has nothing to do with the function of the breast. It has to do with the interpretation of men who see breasts with and without babies, and their own exposure in the past.

Huh? Take your own advice, dude. I'll admit that I didn't read through the article when it was first linked, figuring it was yet another case of prudes screaming "muh feelz!", but I just read through it all now only to find out that my guess was 100% correct. If you can point out where in the article it mentions any woman actually getting her boobs touched AND where it points out where men getting their boobs touched is NOT assault (which it clearly is if it's done without consent), then I'll revise my estimate of your intelligence. YES, women should be allowed to take their tops off if men are allowed to do so. That's simply a part of TRUE gender equality. Of course, in the US this is the ONLY area in which women have it worse than men. I'd gladly waive my right to go topless in public if the other gender imbalances could also be reversed.

Glad to see you so obedient to feminist thought. Good job!

I did not say touching a man's boobs was not assault. Or, if I did it was a typo. What it is NOT is a sexual assault. If you do not understand the difference between sexual assault and simple assault you need help. That was the main point of my posting and it seems to have slipped right by you.

It is so simple anyone should be able to understand it. Sorry you did not make the cut. When women get special protections that men do not get, they should rationally expect a matching responsibility. That is the current problem with the US society, women get rights; men get responsibilities and no rights. This deal of them, well, why repeat it? It was obvious the first time for anyone not trapped in white knightery.

Um... no. I'm simply not embroiled in the whole Catholic "It's OK to rape little boys but how DARE a woman offend my delicate sensibilities by showing even the teeniest sliver of a breast?" thought. You do know that breasts of BOTH genders... oops, sorry, Bill C-16 just passed in Canada... of the 152,796 genders are NOT inherently sexual, right? The only reason why they SEEM that way to us is because they're constantly covered up! News flash: until they won the legal right in 1938 in New York, so were men's. Other example: do you remember that picture that Berne used to use when she first started posting with that woman in a white skirt reaching up to kiss a man? I for one found the calf muscles on her legs to be EXTREMELY attractive and was thinking to myself "DAMN! Those are FINE! It's too bad the image is cropped at the top. If her calf muscles are that hot, what would her face be like?" Does that mean that calf muscles are inherently sexual? Second example: take a look at the news reports over the past few years of all the Muslims having a "sexual emergency" because they saw a woman that WASN'T completely covered in a burqa. Does that mean that any piece of skin on the human body other than hands and eyes is inherently sexual? I think not.
