  • Letting boys release their natural energy in school

Here's a good article about the natural release of boys' energy being essential for their development, and how schools don't allow boys to have that time:

"Girl behavior is the gold standard in schools," says psychologist Michael Thompson. "Boys are treated like defective girls."
      No a surprise...

Angela Hanscom, a pediatric occupational therapist, interviewed young kids to ask them what recess and play are like in the second decade of the 21st century. Their descriptions sound like a dystopian vision of a scaredy-cat future:
Blame parents... they are the people that will sue the crap out everybody... so... why risk it? just because it is best for the health of the kid? much better to wrap the kid on foam and pray to make some money without any crazy parent suing you for everything.

Restricting kids' movement like this leads them to increased anger and frustration, less ability to regulate emotions, and higher aggressiveness during the limited times they are allowed to play, Hanscom writes.
There is a law in US where you can't sue pharmaceutical for any effects medicament have... so... yeah... you know you goign to give them opiods to keep them dope... then again... it is just so easy!

You probably know that ADHD diagnoses in kids are more likely now than they were in years past, but you might not realize that the number of diagnoses is still rising--and at an alarming rate.
Ritalin is cheap but have devastating effects on health, including a dramatic increase of hearth attacks. Adderall seems to be less dangerous... so at least give them the less dangerous one..

And as long as we have overly protective helicopter parents, there will always be fear of liability issues.
      There you go... LOL

So set a good example with your own physical activity, and maybe side with your son (or daughter) if he or she gets in trouble for moving too much at school.
The main reason why parents send kids to schools is so they deal with that kind of stuff there... no for schools to send them back and tell parents they are the ones that need to deal with the stuff...

It's almost as if these expert educators do not actually like or understand the kids they are influencing.
