  • Female Sociology Professor Wants Dick Pics

A female Missouri State assistant sociology professor wants men to measure their manhood and send her photos. She wants the photos for veriification purposes. Professor Alicia Walker wants men to photograph their penises in both erect and flaccid states. She wants the men to hold a ruler next to their penis in the photos to avoid false reporting. Why does she want the lewd photos? She claims to be conducting research on men's self esteem and it's relation to penis size. Participants will also take a survey. Walker, with the help of a student who plans to enter the medical field, is soliciting men through an online portal, at hospitals and nightclubs. The research project has been approved by the Missouri State University Institutional Review Board.

Professor Walker claims to care about the emotional health of men. “The men I’ve talked to thus far are in a great deal of distress because of how we view penis size at present. And how they feel is absolutely impacting their condom use, their willingness to even attempt to approach potential sexual partners, and even going to the doctor for a physical exam,” she said. “Their physical health is actually impacted by how they feel about their penis. This isn’t a frivolous study.” Does she really care about male self esteem? Or does she have a sinister motive? Does she want to cock shame men? Does she have penis envy? You be the judge.
A man's word is his bond. A woman's word is subject to change.

    complete load of BS!
Men don't need vaginas to rate them by penis size... if that's all "real" womyn want then may they enjoy their relationships with their dildos.

when I was on Facebook total strangers would send me unsolicited dick pics all the time.
I think she should just join Facebook like all the other "real" women.

Professor Walker is a beautiful woman. I would also love to fuck her. However, I would probably hate myself afterwards.

A good example of a perverted woman exploiting society's double standards towards women and sexuality to sexually exploit men. Imagine a man submitting a project like this for ethical approval to a university's ethics board except wanting to measure breast size....the proposal would instantly get rejected and his face would be plastered all over newspapers with the headline pervert researcher wants women to send him nude pictures of themselves....This research project without a shadow of a doubt is unethical...it is however being conducted by a privileged class that are held to different standards than those applied to other groups in society, namely women. Hence, why she will be allowed to conduct it. There are sadly many subordinate, perverse men out there in this part of the world that would participate in this study and not enough men to protest it such that it and its author are thrown out of the university....

                Not seeing the outrage here.

Who knows, maybe she really is doing a study.

Even if not, lots of guys will happily show her and if it pleases all concerned then who cares.

Could a male researcher, even a gynecologist, request that pictures of random women's private parts be sent to him over the Internet? He'd be out of a job and probably his medical license within a day.

How did this make it through the institutional review board?

I like to think so but I suspect not, and that's a shame.

Here's the thing tho, our job isn't to simply mimic feminist culture in reverse.

"If male researchers can't collect pussy pics then female researchers shouldn't be able to collect dick pics."

I think they should both be able to, from consenting providers of said pics.

Just because feminists are a bunch of antisocial cold-fish doesn't mean we should be too.

I'm not talking about restrictions on consenting adults, but about the comment this makes on society's regard for each sex in a situation like this. If a male researcher was asking for female pictures, there would be a need to protect overly-trusting females from exploitation and indignity. But since it's a woman asking for male pictures, there doesn't seem to be a concern. Hopefully, the review board did raise these concerns and put appropriate constraints on this research project that weren't mentioned in the article.

If the sociology professor is satisfied that the respondents' answers about their self-esteem will be reliable, why couldn't their anonymously self-reported penis size without the pictures be just as reliable?

Society regards men as having agency and women as grown children who need some kind of parental body to "protect their dignity."

Rather than get the parental body to apply to the male half of the species, I'd rather we just got rid of the parental body and assumed that everyone had agency.

Realistically tho, I don't think these social attitudes will ever change.

Is the premise valid? Do most men worry about an immutable consequence of the genetic lottery that we can't change anyway? I've never talked about it with men, so it's an honest question and not a rhetorical one. We don't have many good options if the porn star gene skipped a generation, so I think the question is pointless.

I've seen sillier studies emerge from the universities. My concern about this one is that I'm not sure whether its premises are testable. How do you measure self-esteem objectively, and how can you accurately correlate it with dick-size? I have a feeling it's through fuzzy math and flawed premises, but I'm willing to be convinced otherwise.
